‘Saviour’ in Ellipsis zine

It’s been a while since I’ve had something published, but today a flash fiction of mine has appeared in UK literary journal Ellipsis zine.

‘Saviour’ is a theatrical tale about the joys of auditioning, told with something of a Greek chorus slant. It originated as a writing class exercise on voice, and I was interested in tackling a story with a third-person plural POV. I’m hoping that the satirical tone will lighten people’s spirits, if only for a few minutes.

My thanks to editor Steve Campbell, who as well as sending very welcome acceptances to his fine journal is also known for the kindness and encouragement of his rejection emails.

If you would like to submit something to Ellipsis – and I would recommend them highly – the submission schedule and details can be found here.

    1. Thanks, Oonagh. I don’t know what to make of anything at the moment – as I’m sure you don’t – but it’s certainly brightened my day. And will hopefully entertain a few others!
